Suggested Schedule For The Week

Below are the recommended dates/times for participation for certain topics. Please feel free to participate at your own convenience.

All week (July 19th - July 25th)

Read research papers, watch videos, and work on your lab; build a soft robot earthworm and making metamaterials!

Wednesday through Sunday ( July 19th - 23rd )

Begin reading the research papers listed in this lesson and watching the associated videos. Start formulating questions and keynotes and don't forget to write them in the reflection portion of the classroom so you can recall your notes quickly! Also, take a quick look at the project so you can start thinking about what you want to do as you learn more about the topic.

Thursday (July 20th)

Learn how to develop your personal brand from our careers team and learn how to optimize your professional LinkedIn!

Saturday and Sunday (July 22nd and 23rd)

Discuss the research papers you have read in our #soft_robots channel within our robotics community with other students and folks in the industry. Discussions will be happening all day so stop in once in a while to join the conversation.

Join us Saturday, July 22nd at 8:00pm PDT when Rajat Mishra and Mike Salem host a moderated session of the research papers read during engagement week. A second session on Sunday, July 23rd at 9:00am PDT.

Tuesday (July 25th)

Finish making your soft robot earthworm and your metamaterial. If you complete both projects successfully, you'll get a shout-out in our announcements channel!
